Banarasi silk sarees are made from pure silk and are intricately woven using gold or silver zari threads. The zari threads are made from fine gold or silver wire that is flattened and wrapped around a silk thread. It takes an average of 15-20 days for a skilled weaver to complete a Banarasi silk saree. The time may increase or decrease depending on the complexity of the design.
